Am I crazy?

Im not sure. I think im going to get a d1h (yes, thats 2.47 MP) as my next camera. I currently have a d40x and i love it, but the problem is my main subject matter is sports. What i would get the d1h for is the built in second shutter release, the faster FPS, and i would really enjoy not being limited to AF-S lenses. Now a days these cameras can be found on ebay for under $250! So what do you guys think? Is it worth it?

well, i am probably not the person to give the best advice on this but IMO... if that camera is 2.47 MP - I'd say thats too low. I wouldn't buy one. Now, it might be a good camera, but I just cant get past the 2.47 MP. My phone does 2mp lol... and i'm just saying.............

I hadn't heard of the D1H (I'm a noob), so I did some reading on it. It was the best digital camera available in 2001 and sold for over $4300, but I think your D40x will out perform it in almost every way. But still it would be fun to play with one!

I wouldn't be turned off by the 2.4MP. I'd like to see a cell phone take pics that looks as good as these:

I bet 8x10's would look fine from this camera!
