Who says 65 can't look good!
I think I'm gradually getting the hang of this. Been working on posing, lighting, etc. My best so far. I still need to work more with Portrait Pro. Any thoughts?

Not bad at all! The lighting is nice, very appropriate to the subject, and the overall feel
is nice, however you do have a bit of a hair shadow on the back of the hat. Consider bringing the lights in closer and dropping the power.
A couple of nits: I'm not fond of the similarity of tone between the hat and background; a gel on your background light in a nice, contrasting coulour would have added some real 'pop', and don't forget to check the details. The catch of her necklack is part-way aroudn her neck.

A hat pose can be a nice addition to a portfolio, but I would like to see some shots without the hat.

Also, her gaze is just close enough to the lens that I'm wanting her to look directly into the lens.

Also, the forward lean is not the best idea.

Without the hat, I presume you would frame vertically.

I have a couple of non hat versions but need to re-shoot them. I also wanted to try a smaller hat.
I guess the gaze is at me but I kind of liked it.
The lean - What I wanted and will try again is right shoulder down, head tilt into the light. No?
No I wouldn't frame vertically. I'm going to stick with my horizontal frames for now. Not change too much at once.
