Another NOOB

Hi
I just joined and also just recently bought a DSLR.
I was shooting with an old 3.2 MP Konica point and shoot for the longest time and had finally honed my skills in on that when it broke. So I went out this weekend and got me the Canon Rebel Xsi!!!!!

I am so excited but will be needing a macro lens soon.

I must also start off by saying that I do enjoy taking all sorts of photos but I have a huge fascination with snakes and devote 80% of my photos to them

Here are some of my favorite shots from my old camera

So hopefully my shots are only gonna get better from here on out with the 12 MP power house. Here were a few shots I snapped on the weekend with the Rebel in mostly Auto mode.

I really like the picture second to last of the snake on the log. The head of the snake is very sharp and clear and I can tell that was where you wanted to center of attention to be. I really like these pics! Good luck with your new dSLR
