another one of water! for C&C

ok so I have posted alot of these types of picture for C&C in the last few days but I need your help!.. out of all the photos I took this day my family and freinds like this one the best... and im not so sure... to me the the trees are cut off the water is too white and the compistion is not great... are they seeing something im not? let me know, are they the un-educated ones about photography or am I?... at the end of the day I want to produce pictures that other people will enjoy, not just me!

I'm a novice as well, so I feel yah. Have you heard of the "Rule of Thirds"? If you haven't, check it out. Also, there doesn't seem to be an obvious place of focus, or something that draws the eye. I'd say in general it's a composition issue. But then again..... I'm a novice ;-)

You got it. Composition is lacking, the whites are blown, the horizon looks tilted, the trees are clipped. Can that one!
