Playing around with OCF
Photography is addictive lol
At what point in your learning did you notice your improvement?
A year in and I notice some improvement but I'm not where I want to be. I will take some pics with OCF and be like "yeah!" Then.... I see some OCF photos from other and I'm like "dang, I suck!" Lol.. it even got to the point where I didn't even look at others work for awhile and then I thought that was kind of silly cause how would I progress. I don't know.. I'm sure I'm not the only one that's a been through this.
I try and get out and shoot everyday. I have avoided the online courses due to the wealth of information on here and YouTube. I have considered joining the PPA and going through the course they offer. But I don't know... guess I I could buy the New Nikon D850and that would make me a better photographer, right?

Your work is doing pretty good man. I would reccomend the following:

Buy this book on posing and portrait composition. I'm half way through and loving it.

Go through lighting 101 and lighting 102 on Strobist.com. They're basically free classes by David Hobby on learning off camera flash.

I second Destin's comments. Also, I'd watch the focus. The eyes look a little soft, especially in the first image. Fantastic model though - this looked like a fun shoot
