It looks like a very similar structure that is in/on a reservoir near me. I always known it as the pumping station. I believe it is where they extract water (in the case here, to the water treatment works where it is made fit for consumption)

I'm holding my hand over the bottom of the image... I'm guessing roughly an inch to visualize a crop. There's a lot of empty space down there and it's particularly bright. I felt like the image was over-exposed until I blocked that area.

You might test a crop on it and see how you like it.

It's near the dam breast and I have no idea what it actually is. It could be a pump, but there is no electric near it. I always thought maybe a valve of some sorts?

@ Tim, I like your suggestion. Covering that bottom inch does make the reamainly tones stronger. Thanks

Nice shot Rick. The building is a valve house built in 1880 to house the valve controls for the dam.

Thanks Bri: I think it might be an illusion with the bridge going off on an angle. I plumbed the building walls

Really really like this one, Rick! Love all the textures - from the trees to the rough stone and then the smooth ice. And I agree with Tim about shaving a bit off the bottom to balance the tones.

I live in a town that is a Heritage Town in an area where Canada started way back.
