Any info on CF cards?

Does anyone now much about these CF cards.I bought a ultra 2 with my new camera but there are some many types(extreme3,extreme4,platinum,ultimate,80x,100x,on and on,etc.) then there are diff brands,kingston,sandisk,etc.Anyone have a chart?

I've seen a chart that compared cards and their speeds etc...but I don't remember where it was...and it was a few years ago.

Basically, the main difference is the read and write speed. The more expensive 'Extreme' and 'Professional' cards will read a write the data faster. That will make a difference to some people but not to others.

Some cards, like the Sandisk Extreme, are made a little more robust.

I don't know what kind of camera you are using but make sure it's a brand that will work. I use Nikons and SandDisk and Lexar are the only ones they approve. Not saying others won't work, just saying what is in Nikon's user manual.

Sony alpha a100. hope it uses sandisk,allthough I cant imagine it wouldnt.
