Anyone a Computer Wiz?

I guess I'm in a lot of trouble with my fiance because I seemed to have downloaded a virus. Since he's at work he can't get it off. I have no idea what to do. I've scanned my computer and deleted the virus it had. (only found 1) but now theres this Virus - burster program installed and I can't delete it off my computer. When I try to come to TPF I get another tab that has porno on it. (I'm using maxthon browser).

Any help with this would be very VERY appreciated.

Get a Spyware-Check program such as Ad-Aware or Spybot Search & Destroy. Run it.

I have spybot and I used it and it came up with some stuff, but after I deleted them and all that it's still there. But I searched google for virus-burster and it has some directions on how to get rid of it.

now I have to wait until my b/f gets home to do it. I dont want to mess up the computer more.

have you found this 'Smitfraudfix' too? (I also Googled it). It seems pretty simple and safe.

a lot of times you will have to reboot it and run in safemode. Many virus had cloaking programs that run in normal mode and hide them from scans. I would suggest to scan with ad-aware, spybot and your antivirus program in safemode.
