Anyone a fan of ringflash?

The AlienBee 800 for $100 sounds like a good deal. Really, that seems totally worth it. Ringflash fashion/portrait looks with the model placed right up against a wall or backdrop look a certain way. There's really nothing quite,exactly like a light source that is RIGHT ON the lens axis, and perfectly circular. It gives a very distinctive "look" to the face, and of course, if the eyes (or sunglasses) are rendered large and clearly, there's that distinctive round catchlight with the big, black dot in the center.
