i received this in an email today...seems like a good idea if it catches on. anyone else seen it?

Following the disaster in London . . .East Anglian Ambulance Service have launched a national "In case of Emergency ( ICE ) " campaign with the support of Falklands war hero Simon Weston.

The idea is that you store the word " I C E " in your mobile phone address book, and against it enter the number of the person you would want to be contacted "In Case of Emergency".In an emergency situation ambulance and hospital staff will then be able to quickly find out who your next of kin are and be able to contact them. It's so simple that everyone can do it. Please do.

Please will you also email this to everybody in your address book, it won't take too many 'forwards' before everybody will know about this. It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest.

For more than one contact name ICE1, ICE2, ICE3 etc.

What a great idea! I plan on forwarding this, Thanks JonMikal

It's the simple ideas that are the best! Everyone in the UK has a mobile as well, it's such a great idea!

I've always had an entry called "!FoundPhone!" in the address book in case I lose my phone.

Im going to do that RIGHT now. :)

meh... I still think it's a stupid idea putting ICE.

I actually do have an entry called Ice... but it's for the actual Ice supplier.

No one is going to understand what ICE stands for if they find your phone. write home or next of kin if you're that worried.

Hehehe Meysha, I hope nothing ever happens to you. That poor ice company will get a call and they won't know what the emergency service is talking about.
 never thought of that... maybe I should give them a call and warn them of all the other "In Case of Emergency" calls they're gonna get from all over the place!!
