Anyone have the Galaxy Note 3?

How do you like it? I need a new phone and am not interested in an iPhone. Looked at the Note 3 today. It's huge but still fits in the outside pocket of my purse. Loved the big screen. I can get it at Best Buy for $249 less a $50 gift card offer so $199 vs. $299 at Verizon store...

How's the camera? The one on my current phone is horrible compared to the iPhone. Not looking for dslr quality but for times when I don't have a camera with me...

battery life?

most reviews online are excellent but usually those are posted in the honeymoon period.

They are very good, I just sold mine. Used to develop for them on XDA Developers. Very powerful phone and the camera is great for a phone (the best ive had, and ive had most of them)

Battery life is amazing and you get used to the size real quick

Great, thanks. I've read about a GPS issue but it seems to be only with the AT&T version. Did you have verizon?

oops, just saw you are not in US so not sure if that makes a difference on the GPS thing.

I have one on T-Mobile and love it. I've had it at least 4 months if not a little longer. I get teased by my coworkers for the screen size but when I go to use my husbands GS4 the screen seems so tiny to me now.

The screen size is the reason I want it. I've had my current phone, HTC Incredible, about 4 years, maybe longer and I swear the screen is shrinking!

Basically, its a galaxy S4, but bigger.

I used to have a note 2 for work, and an S3 for home, and that was my opinion. So if you like the galaxy but want a bigger sceen, get the note.
Though, dont get it unless you are sure about the screen it is BIG used to be a pain for me to carry.

The battery life was slightly less than the S, the camera is about the same (Good - equivilent or better than iPhone imho)

I don't have the Note but I do have the Lumia 1520 which is the same size (actually I think the Lumia is slightly larger). As others have said, once you adjust to a screen that big it's great - I couldn't imagine ever going back. And as someone else mentioned, be prepared for random comments from strangers. I've had a number of people see me using it and say "whoa that's a big phone!"

BTW if you're looking for a great camera the Lumia's are pretty much the top of the mark right now. The Lumia 1020 has the largest camera phone sensor out there, and the 1520 & Icon are slightly smaller sensors than the 1020 but still larger than most camera phones. I have the 1520 and my son has the 1020, the image quality of both completely destroy's the IQ from my wife's iPhone 5. The difference is huge. And they have the option to shoot in raw (DNG).

Just got back from picking up the phone. Got it at Best buy for $100 cheaper than at the Verizon store. Had to give up my unlimited data plan that was grandfathered in. Held out as long as I could but the old phone was on its last legs and starting to become a hinderance.

If its not already, update it manually to Android 4.4.2, make s a huge difference
