Anyone Still Use Film?

I like film AND digital, but I'll tell you what keeps pushing me back to film: I'm an AV fanatic, and enjoy making my own slideshows set to music with two projectors synchronised with a dissolve-unit. This would actually be far easier to do on a computer, but I have not come across even one digital projector - regardless of price - which will show images greater than 1600x1200. That's less than two megapixels for chrissake, and on a screen six feet wide gives a resolution of just over 22 pixels per inch!

Mid-price digicams are now 6Mp+ and are within the reach of the average consumer, but no one seems to have addressed the opposite side of the problem!
