Particularly the fast ones? 24-70mm + 70-200mm 2.8. Sigma Tamron etc.

I bought Nikon for those two. But my wide angle is the sweet Tokina 11-16.

there is this company that you may have heard of named Zeiss.lol but you probably dont shoot sony, hassleblad or leica.

sigma is good too. Love sigma glass. I have a 70-210 f2.8 apo by them. good glass. AF is kinda busted now though.

I've been looking at sigma, but people complain about a very slow AF

Sigma 50mm f/1.4 - nicest lens I own.

Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro is pretty sweet.

I only own one 3rd party lens (Tokina 11-16/2.8 for Nikon) but I absolutely love it

I have a sigma 70-200 2.8 and a tamron 17-50 F2.8 and for the price they serve me well. picture quality is also pretty good.
I invested in good primes instaid. Nikon : 50 1.4 , 85 1.4 and the 135 F2 DC.

i will sell my 50 1.4 nikon af-s G and get Sigma in a near future since the sigma seems to be better so yes you can go ahead and spend money on 3rd party lens. Not all 3rd party are as good as nikon and canon lens but some of them are well known to be top quality. do your research first.

this was shot with the tamron at 24mm

Fantastic

Sigma 30 1.4 and 50 1.4. Though I don't own it, the Sigma 85 1.4 looks to be great as well based on pics I've seen from it. I have no idea where people complaining about slow AF comes from. Canon, and I'm sure Nikon as well, make lenses with less than fast AF. The 50 1.8 comes to mind...

Of my 34 lenses only 2 are native & I do not use them. My wife uses the 14-45 native that came with my camera on her camera but the 45-200 sits in the cupboard.

Now, I am of course an oddball on this forum, as I do not shoot Canon or Nikon but rather a Panasonic G1 & manual lenses.
