What's new

Anyone tries Lightroom on the ipad?

Still downloading latest LR. 51 min left.. eeek!

So far pretty awesome. So if I have 1200 photos from a wedding, I need to add all of them to a collection first and sync? I want to use my iPad to cull. That may take a long time to sync?

I was disappointed to see that it hasn't been released for iPhone yet.

Yup, that's exactly my issue with LR Mobile.

I currently use Photosmith on the iPad to wirelessly tether from my Eye-Fi. I cull while still on location. Then when I get home I import the raw's into LR and do a metadata only sync from Photosmith on the iPad to LR, which matches up star ratings, picks, etc., so I can instantly start editing on the desktop. Unfortunately LR Mobile doesn't support that workflow (yet) so I'll be sticking with Photosmith.

I took me 5 minutes of searching to find that I must update to latest LR 5.4 to enable a sync.
I would think that would be the first line in every story.

OK, DLed 5.4, installed and there are no options to create synced collections or sync existing collection.

Any ideas about that?

right click one of your collections, you should see sync option. It may not be on the create a new collection menu.

I am a subscriber to Adobe CC and have the LR app for the Ipad.
and all my apps are up to date but still no sync.
LR Help Update returns a message that I have the latest version.
And I have Itunes on this PC and I synch from that

Hmm... not sure what is going on Lew. After you updated the LR, did you see a message on top about activating the LR mobile sync? You have to log in somewhere first on LR.

That was it.
I looked through the preferences and found a new tab, signed in there with my Adobe username and PW and at least some of the things are working.
Thanks, Robin.

There's also a dropdown on the identity plate to sign in.

The Adobe YouTube channel has a bunch of helpful videos.
