I use a Manfrotto 055XPROB w/ a ballhead. I have used it mostly in studio, but am finding that I am using it outside more and more. I am looking for a decent tripod case, and the MBAG80PN seems like a nice case.

Anyone have one? Would you buy it again if you had it to do over? If not, which tripod case would you concider and why?

Long time ago I had a tripod case ... then I got tired of having a bag to deal with and got a tripod strap.
I find the strap more convenient as I can just unlatch one strap ... though having padded legs would be a nice addition.

If it was a cheap $70 tripod that I used solely for outside photography that would be a possible option. Since the tripod and ballhead I am using costs a few hundred dollars, I prefer not to beat the crap out of it. Unzipping a tripod, to me, is no more hassle than unzipping my camera case. I do appreciate your time in posting a reply though.

I have the MBAG80N, which is almost the same case, except not padded. It's about $30 less expensive also. I have the same tripod as you and I find my case works well. Do you really need the padding?

I have primarily used the tripod in studio only, so I really have little experience with tripod cases. I just assumed padded would be better than unpadded, but I am open to suggestions.
