Aphids have invaded my Butterfly Milkweed. What a bunch of sap-suckers... it was incredibly windy today, so I had shutter speed high, but I also had the aperture at f/8 in hopes that something would be in focus in the finished image. All images shot with the EOS R7

They are quite tiny. Unfortunately, no ladybird bugs to keep them in check.
Soapy water -- spray them. It won't harm the plant. I had them early this season on a plum tree. Two sprayings with soapy water did the trick.

Gross little buggers. Infested my chives a few years ago and couldn't rid them so had to remove the chives. Your photos say it all.

Nice macro shots! Aphids are nasty, but I agree with the soapy water suggestion. It's not toxic to the plants and the aphids should disappear.

Nice set and as someone said, soapy water.
Thanks!

Thanks! Yes, they can overwhelm a garden if not kept in check.
they are next to impossible to get rid of.
Yep.
Fascinating. Well done.
Thank you!
