Herbie is a Dimorphic Jumping Spider that lives on my computer monitor. We play a game with the mouse pointer sometimes, I move it around and Herbie chases it. 😂 Herbie is approx. 1cm in length.

That first shot is amazing!! Well done!

I think it's very sweet that you are playing with this little guy. At my house, Herbie would have been smashed into the mouse pad by now. :1247:

He is a pretty little guy. Great close-ups.

Some people have the strangest pets. 🙂 Like the first shot.
Thank you! Yes, some people do... 😁

lol I can't kill most spiders, except for the really bad ones like the Black Widow and Brown Recluse. I actually took Herbie outside and found a nice sheltered plant to live on. Much more food choices than on my monitor.

That's the best solution, I agree!

I've had a mild case of arachnophobia since I was a kid. I used to just run from them, then smashed them, then softened/wised up and these days, try to carry them outside. We're both happier!

Very creepy!, but the photos are fantastic.

Lovely shots and great little guy - who thought spiders could be cute?

The same here - MLW would want Herbie gone, one way, or another. I too, typically escort multi-legged critters outside, but a few will become one with the floor, wall or ceiling. Stink bugs get a "burial at sea."

Thank you! Yes, jumping spiders are the cuties of the spider world.

Great post! Living on the woods like I do, I find spiders both inside and outside. if they're not poisonous they're welcome.

Thanks! I put it outside mostly because I don't have much that it can eat on my computer monitor, and I have triangulate combfoot spiders in the house that are in some corners and near the windows which would probably prey on the jumping spider. I tolerate the combfoot spiders, because they are known to hunt brown recluse, so much less chance of the latter being in the house with those around.
