approch to photography learning

What shud be the structured approch to learn photography...i end up reading tutorials or watching videos on youtube randomly.. but cant figure out how to go about it in a structured way.....
also any good book that u can suggest..

I would pick up understanding exposure by Bryan Peterson. Get a basic knowledge and see what you want to expand on and go from there.

Shoot. Take lots of shots of lots of things. Use manual mode or at least Shutter priority or aperture priority... Take shots with different exposure settings (shutter, aperture, ISO, and other variations; while keeping the correct exposure) of the same subject. Take notes of what settings you use to get a particular result. See what you like and what you don't. Eventually you will learn what works and what doesn't.

Now, if I could only do that... But when my camera is in my hands my mind goes blank.... Still learning to improve this.

Learn the first three: Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO by ~Tiberius47 on deviantART

Read up on one of them ... then practice using it.
Once you understand it (if you don't, ask us) then go onto the next one.
