What's new

Are meme pics against the rules?

TPF should (and could) have it's own meme's.

And while we're at it,we need a couple of mimes as well.

Two of those guys are clearly TPF members. Bitter Jeweler in the front with the awesome beard, Sw1tchFX on the right (I may be imagining what he looks like). Not sure who that is in the middle...

YES--you are 100 percent right...BitterJeweler on the left side, and Sw1tchFX on the far right (he used to look a LOT like the guy on the right, especially in the nose's shape and definition)..and that's supposed to be cgipson1 in the middle...although the middle dude also looks like TCampbell also...

I was going to suggest Charlie in the middle.. but I've already picked on his age today.

Or if darrel shaved the 'stash and neglected the Just For Men...

BUT, definitely not cgip. WAY too dignified.

Now that you mention it, I think it's more TCampbell than cgipson1. Either way - the middle character is kinda weak. The left and right ones, I immediately recognized. Did you make this drawing, Derrel? VERY well done, if you did. I mean, abso-****ing-lutely outstanding. Right on the money.

Most of the "information" in this thread, especially the chatter about "parody", "fair use", "derivatives", "transformations", "it's all over the internet", and so forth, meant to justify using someone's image without their express permission, is flat out wrong.

Copyright is NOT the clear-cut "though shall not copy" policy which photographers want to make it out to be. In many simple cases of direct "mechanical duplication" it is, but when you get into derivative works, it gets very complicated very quickly.
