I've been patiently watching the dogwood behind our shop for the past week, waiting for the blooms to develop that distinctive pink edge, but unfortunately our weather hasn't cooperated. As tomorrow is Easter, I had to go with what I had. Two versions color and the B&W conversion. I think I would prefer the color had the petals gained their pink tips, but in lieu of that the B&W may edge it out. One light camera left low with a 10 degree grid and barn doors. Pentax 35mm ltd, ISO 100, f/8, 1/125. C&C welcome.

Thanks JC, I'm partial to the B&W as well. This is a wild dogwood, which is slightly different than the cultivated variety in yards. Really bummed me that they are so late this year, as I really wanted the blood dot on the tips. May go in and edit them (would that be sacrilegious?)

So I thought the color version needed a little more work in PS. Adding to much of the blood dots looked fake, and these look a little light, but I think I can be happy with it here.
