The color reproduction reminds me of older film photos. But I know little to nothing about film, so I could be wrong. But the color of the red rust in the tracks and the green in the trees makes it look kind of... vintage filmy.
Of course you probably know this already, but I like the lines of the track. I also like how the curve back in to the photo so your eyes aren't trying to find something off the shot. This way I keep wanting to know what's around the bend, where is the train at...

I shoot film...then I make sure the scanner gets every last bit of color information on the frame threw multi-scanning the frame and combining.
Now that I think about it I think I forgot to run this threw a USM......oops

I like the composition. The rails lead my eyes right to the telephone line. Did you consider cloning it out?
No, I don't remove objects of that nature as it's a part of the scene.
