In the 4th image, the single runner, he's to near the right edge of the frame. It would make more sense if his torso was just left of the middle of the frame like the second image.

To do that though you would have to cut off his trailing foot. You were to close, either physically or with zoom.

Also, you don't need as fast a shutter speed if the motion is coming straight at you. You need the most shutter speed if the motion is perpendicular to the sensor frame.

If you look at the sports magazines, shots of runners are made from right beside the track, or with a long lens looking straight at the runner as they are approaching the camera. Plus, that way you get the face and an expression which is the holy grail of sports photography.

and for pic #4 i was up in the top of the stands for that thats kind of y its so far out
and my skool doesnt let me stand on the area right next to the track

i could stand on the field but then ill ahve lots of benches in the way
