interesting--the picture posted is much more overcooked then the picture saved on my computer. The whole picture, but especially the sky on the left. Is this a function of my monitor not being calibrated correctly, or photobucket which I am using??

Ive heard people complaining about how Photobucket deals with files. You might try another such as tinypics.com
I dont think your post is overcooked. It looks pretty good.

Does not look overcooked to me! Photobucket is not the best for some reason. I would try flickr seems like it works well.

Nice shot interesting building, is that a metal roof?

here is a try at Flickr which I am new at and tired testing in the Test Forum. Hopefully I got it down. Yes, it is a metal roof.
I wanted to Photoshop out the black railing in the foreground but the background of the building was too complex to make a seamless appearance.
