Artist representative

My father passed away and left me most of his life's work consisting of acrylic on canvas paintings in the folk art genre. His work means a lot to me and I would like to keep most of it however I haven't got the space. I understand it's pretty hard to get your work shown in a gallery and I don't really have the time to pound the pavement. Can anyone give me some pointers on finding an artists rep that specializes in this sort of thing? You would think Google is your friend here but I'm not having any luck. Any help is appreciated.
