as the fog rolls in

so lets be serious for a second, i am pretty lazy. The thought of getting up early enough to photograph a sunrise is enough to make me cry.

however, it being the new year, i am filled with the resolution to shoot the sunrise! and i did it!

it was a cold morning, and 2 or 3 minutes after i took this shoot a crazy fog rolled across the water and blocked the sky.

c&c appreciated.
I like the line that the railing draws across the image and the subtle city in the fog on the far right. Though I wish the clouds had been moving a bit faster.
What do you guys think?

It's a pretty scene and your treatment the photo is very nice. The strong leading line kind of nudges me out of the frame, but I don't know how that could've been handled differently.

I like it. Big difference in just a couple minutes. Good light never lasts!

364 second exposure
I used a lee big stopper for the long exposure and a 0.9 soft reverse grad filter to keep the sky dark and dramatic.

very little was done to the sky in post, it happened to be a beautiful morning!

Beautiful sunrise! Fog usually helps rather than hurts my photos, but I see how it works the other way. and I like the railing that draws you into the city. Getting up early to take this photo was worth it, good job.
