Asheboro, NC Zoo: What a day!

Hi all! This is my first photo-post here, so I'm looking forward to your comments!

These were shot @ the Zoo in Asheboro, NC using the Sigma 70-300mm and my Sony a330.

Very nice series indeed! Here my 2 cents worth:

#1 Nice shot, photo seems a bit soft and the right and left side of the back ground seems a bit busy. Love the pose. also an interesting crop size too

#2 Very colorful shot.....wish the tail wasn't cut off by the tree limb.

#3 For me.....great capture, nice focus and details.


#4 Awesome and powerful animal. I like the crop in this one too! I would lighten up the bottom left side of the photo to open the shadows up a tad. Nice capture!


#5 Fantastic timing on the pose! Not sure if I like the B&W...thinking the color version would liven up the scene.

Looks like you had a productive day at the zoo. Zoo shot's can be challenging but you managed well!!

Very nice set especially taken in what can be difficult conditions. Agree with EricD's comments, but would have cropped the left side (as you look at the pic) closer to the animal.
