How do you make your vertical pictures auto-rotate in your pc ?
I've selected the option of auto-rotate in my camera (option pc and camera) but it still gets horizontal on my computer..

Is it because I am viewing them in Windows and not a specific software ?

Thanks for your help !

PS. Bonus question :
Do you guys wipe your lenses sometimes, or everytime or only if you see something on it ?

Thanks again

i've noticed that some software does not recognize the rotation directive, but the ones i use the most like picasa (as a viewer), lightroom, photoshop, and photoscape do.

i have also noticed that flickr (if you use it) will not recognize the directive if you load straight from camera on the full (original) sized pictures, but on the scaled one it produces, does.

i have one of those little soft lens brushes i use after im done shooting (if i notice stuff on the lens) so its ready to go the next time. have been doing full cleanings (taking off the uv filters and cleaning lens and filters) about once every few days if needed. will also use a lens cloth to wipe the lcd screen off as well.

Bingo!

The less you wipe your lenses, the better. Of course if they are dirty, they should probably be cleaned.
My first choice is to just use a brush and brush the dust away. If that isn't good enough, then I use a lens cloth and give it a wipe. If that's not good enough, I've got lens cleaning fluid or a lens pen that I use.

I have read several debates on whether or not to use filters on your lenses, but I always have a filter on each of my lenses. If I really feel it is affecting my shot then I remove it take the shot and then put it back on.

As long as it's dry and not suffering from condensation, a blower works well.
