Autopoles

Do these have ends which can be removed like for drop ceilings and if they do are they easily changed

They have big, rubber "feet" at the top, which do not damage ceilings. I have a set. They work great! The feet can be easily popped off and "something else" could be fitted onto the ends of the poles, like custom-made rubber feet, or larger plywood ones, or whatever. SEARS at my local mall is now using Autopoles on drop ceilings, to hold up a whole slew of HUGE fall fashion posters, and they are super-tall poles, like 20 footers!!!!

Not that I've ever done it. I didn't make that hole in the ceiling. Not me.

I'm not sure how you would use an autopole with a drop ceiling, as it needs to exert some upward pressure. Well, what I'd do would be to remove the ceiling panel and use whatever structure was above.
