1.leaf, so sharp!. Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G @ f/5.6, ISO 200, 1/100

2. you can bee my friend but don't bug me. Nikkor 55-300 @ 5.6, ISO 200, 1/320. Best shot I've had with this lens.

3. This confuses me on several levels.

Great colour and sharpness on the first two. I'm envious of the colour! Did you up the vibrance/saturation? How did you get such wonderful colours?

Its a secret! J/k. You are correct, its not 'straight out of camera'. In ViewNX, I did the following?. Sharpness = 3, Picture Control = Landscape, which seems to sometimes be more 'vibrant' than the 'vibrant' setting. Then I adjusted the 'color booster' to 27. I have no idea what 'color booster' does, nor do I ever use it, but in this case it helped.

How was the lighting when you took the picture?

It was pretty good. A few scattered clouds but I waited them out. It was probably about 3-4pm (today) but I was able to keep it at ISO 200. Oh and I had a CPL filter going on the 50mm prime. The zoom did not.
