Autumn reflection

Beautiful work, John. It must be sooooo gorgeous up there. Thanks for posting these!! :D

Those are some really good shots. I like the last one of the rode the best, although I think I would have cropped out the bit of sky in the top right corner. I moved to SF from NYC and miss the opportunity to shoot the leaves changing. Out here the trees dont know what season it is.

Good work and keep on posting!

In the first picture I would prefer it without the non reflecting water in the bottom, I think it really takes away from the shot.

Beautiful light, but I'm going with the "crop crowd". Just losing the water at the bottom will drop the horizon a smidge, and give the image a sense of foundation, rather than being hung on a line.

I don't see anything "disquieting" about the photo; on the contrary, the wonderful warm light is very calming. I don't see enough interest in the forms to lend this image to a statement of symmetry. When I go full screen my eyes just keep jumping from the top to the bottom, like it's two seperate photos. But, if it floats your boat centered, then that's the way it should stay.

The others are very pleasing to my eyes. Great examples of the power of the "golden hour".

I lived in the SF area for 2 years and miss it like crazy. Got some fantastic photos up in the hills around concord/walnut creek. But the lack of seasons drove me crazy after awhile. :)

P-bug, what list????
In one of your other recent posts I said if you kept it up (posting great pics) I was gonna put you on my "people I hate 'cuz they take better pics than me" list.

If you weren't on it with the first two pics here, that last one really cemented your place on the list! :lol

Ahhh I gotcha! Well thank you very much for the compliment!! :-D
