B/W photography

What's with all this "screw digital" business huh?!?!

Wake up and smell the new age. Grasp it in both hands and experience the pleasure and excitement of constantly outdating technology. :)

And i own a digital!!!

(and 2 dusty old point and shoot film cameras somewhere in the garage)

digital - why would i want to take two steps backward? that would be akin to going from the aforementioned toilet to an outhouse.

admittedly, listening to the birds chirp outside is nice, but....

first things first - I like color AND black/white photography... depending on the "message" of the pic some just don't work in b/w, some just don't work in color... either way

can you actually a shot in 5 minutes ready-to-print into your computer without working digital? Every tool/technique has it's advantages and disadvantages...

 .. and u posted that photo didnt ya? :taped sh: .. u wanna let all these people know how crazy i am

I shoot about 95% on BW film that I process and print in my own darkroom. I love working with film and the look of hand printed silver prints. One of the great things about the digital revolution is that right now it's possible to set up a BW darkroom for pretty cheap.

On the other hand, I find myself staring at the box containing 150 or so undeveloped rolls of Kodak Gold 200 of my 15 month old daughter, and I'm thinking "for what that's gonna cost me to get processed would pay for a nice digital camera, and a new computer too!"
