B&W Statue

I decided to try doing B&W yesterday. Here is the result of my effort. Not much but not bad for a first attempt.

that sky sure does look ominous! it looks like the end of the world or something. i think it was a great choice to use b&w for this one. with colour it would seem too nice!

Do you think the statue should have been done brighter or does it work well with the sky?

no, it works perfectly. it is as if the statue is the creator of the evil sky. where was that statue taken?

The statue can be found in Frogner Park in Oslo. It contains loads of statues created by Gustav Vigeland. There is a total of 212 sculptures (acording to wikipedia).

It's a great place for photography and if you ever find yourself traveling to Oslo, it's well worth a visit. Great photographic opertunities all over the place. Problem is though, it's a magnet for japanese tourist busses, so you need to go relatively early to avoid huge crowds. This was a problem I encountered during my visit on Sunday which is why I took the photo pointing straight up. It was the only way to avoid all the people getting in the way. But then again I'm very pleased with the result. I've got loads more to show, but I need to do a bit of work on them first.
