b&w w/ color

I use the GIMP....never had a problem with this.......

I just make a copy of the original image , and change the copy to b/w, sepia pr whatever.....then i make a new layer in the original and paste the entire b/w copy ver the original.....then i use the eraser where i want to restore the color....here is one i did of my daughter......
