B&Ws, former industrial building, C&C please

So, these are some shots from my second day of shooting with the DSLR, we went to an abandoned industrial building which has been recently been cleaned up & opened up to the public. I converted them to black & white for fun, but do have the colour versions if anyone wants to see those instead. As always, C&C is most appreciated!

Try and keep the central verticals, vertical.

I like more contrast in B&W, particularly in the mid-tone range.

I like them far better with the contrast raised. Working with film that is one thing this newb has an eye for. Love the pictures though, good job.

In the first three, I'd rather have seen something taken from closer in. All three shots have the effect of distancing one from the subjects. I think everyone at first tries to include too much and doesn't really move in on the subject. The last one does that, but it doesn't seem like there's really enough there to hold interest. Keep shooting!
