Agree, love trees. Lone trees, especially in winter where there are no leaves, or even dead trees make awesome subjects. The problem I always have is with composition. To me, you have to be in just the right spot such that the horizon isn't behind the tree. It is distracting to me. It is sometimes tricky making that work in your favor though.
