Bad moon rising...

Smoke from forest fires in the interior of BC has been drifting out over Vancouver Island for a couple of weeks now. Driving home last night, I saw the moon rise and grabbed a quick shot; colour is 100% accurate!

Now? Fine... a week or so ago it was a little thick. Up in the interior, it's a different story; not nice at all!

I'm in Kelowna and it has been pretty bad. For the past three weeks our sun during the day looks like your picture of the moon at night. There are warnings about avoiding strenuous outdoor activities, but normal day to day life will give you a very sore throat and irritate your eyes. Rain is forecast tonight and a lowering of temps next week so hopefully this will be over soon.
