Ball Head Recommendations

I'm looking into getting a Manfrotto 055. I was wondering what ball heads I should check out. Also- I use an R-strap. Are there any quick release systems that still allow access to the tripod screw, or should I just get a ball head without the quick release?

I'd probably recommend this:

Manfrotto 468MGRC2 Magnesium Hydrostatic Ballhead - 468MGRC2 -

* hydrostatic tension adjustment
* rated for more max weight than the Manfrotto 055
* quick release plate
* I've always had good history with that brand

As for your last question, I find it quicker and easier to use a tripod with a quick release plate. Its also easier and fairly quick to remove the plate for your R-strap. As such, I would still see a benefit over a ball head without one.

I also noticed that black rapid makes a "screw" specifically designed for the Manfrotto quick release plate. Looks like your solution.
