I am showing these to my 5 year old tommorow. She is in ballet too

Nice set Erose. I don't mind the purple tint, I honestly didn't pay much attention since I was looking at the models lines in her legs. I think ballet is so beautiful and would love to capture some actual studio stuff like this.

As for a calibration kit why don't you just rent one every few months. I rent one for 15$ every three to four months.

:shock: You can RENT them?! Where do you rent one from? A local place? Or an online place?

My camera store rents the spyder 3 and its worked really well for me I can't see it being unheard of. Good luck.

Man, I'm going to have to call our camera store and find out if they do that. I doubt it... I mean they're not very big and Allentown sucks... but it's worth a shot, right?

Otherwise... if I can find an online rental place that does it, I don't mind going that route.

Nice set Em! I'm not a huge fan of the purple tint either. It's not as bad in the first few photos where she isn't as big in the frame, but on the last 2 it's a little overboard (with the jacket being so strong in the frame). It may be due to your monitor's calibration though, if it is indeed off.

And trust me... it's off. It's got this sulfur yellowish tint to it, that I noticed has been getting exponentially worse over the past year. I've tried to combat it a couple of times on my own, but I just end up making things worse, so I try to be aware of that fact and adjust my edits accordingly.

Part of me is wondering if it's just time for a new monitor. This one is "old" and doesn't even seem as bright as it used to be... which would be *wonderful* since I can *totally* afford *that* right now :er:

I found a calibrater online at Calumet photo for 89 dollars. That seemed pretty decent. Not sure what your looking for though.
