Spotted on the way home from the grocery store. I read somewhere that the Canon 75-300 lens loses sharpness from something like 200mm-300mm. I think I'm seeing what that person was talking about. I'm probably going to pick up a Tamron 70-300 lens in the near future to, hopefully, replace it.

Aye, you can see the softness in both of them. If I were you I'd consider something a bit longer like the Sigma 150-600C. Great lens for the money.

Oh deer... If you want to stay with something lightweight, and has a little more reach, and does a great job with pseudo-macro as well, consider the Tamron 18-400mm; it costs a little more, but it is worth the extra money. The Sigma 150-600C is a great lens, too, but is on the heavy side. I have both lenses, and the Tamron is my daily lens.
