batch processing

im trying to batch process some photos but i want them to remain raw files and im not sure how to do that. help please

just re name all of the files but i havent touched them up yet so i want to keep them RAW.

This may be something you can do with Adobe Lightroom. I do batch renames there, but they're usually JPEG images by then. Give it a try.

oh they didn't give this tip but where it says Sequence number instead of 1 put 0000. if you put 1 photos 1-10 will be miss organized. Then when you get to 100 it will even get more disorganized. By putting 0000, It will rename them 0001, 0002 ect. If you put mypics_0000 it will rename them mypics_0001,mypics_0002. Ect.

How do I add to a folder thats already renamed?

Well if you have a folder with pics named 2008photos_0001 all the way up to 2008photos_0340, and you want to add more pics. Just take the separate folder the pictures are in and batch rename them starting with 2008photos_0340, it will continue from there. Then drag the pics into the desired folder.
