Exciting subject matter, but if you are really looking for a critique...

Front lighting destroys texture. Bright back ground distracts from subject. Bits in foreground and black in upper corners distract from subject. Not enough DOF. Overall snapshotty.

My flavor: get a bigger bud and fill the entire frame with the subject. Use natural side lighting to enhance texture.

Or you could just smoke it.
