1. I think looks a little too pp although I didn't do much, it looks a little contrived. However, I captured a nice moment and smile.

2. I think two was fairly good however I wish the fence was not in the shot. This was hard not to do because just managing to capturing a running child in motion was hard nevertheless position them where to run.

3. Cute....but over exposed.

4&5 nice lighting but not very interesting....

6&7: I really like these bc I think they are very spontaneous pictures and not forced.

8&9 I think were my best because they really show off the beauty of a young child's face and the innocence....

oh..white balance off a little in 9 but in all honesty, this appealed to me and I did it on purpose...(maybe a little blue?)

Some pretty good expressions. 1,2,and 3 are quite decent as family snaps, but 4 and 5 drop off markedly. Shot 7, with her trying to drink from the sprinkler, is cute. The others that follow, not very good. Shots 8 and 9 are cropped very closely, have no eye contact, and are just snapshotty...not that there's anything wrong with that. Again, 1,2,3,and 7 are pretty good as family shots that accurately and favorably portray your older daughter. Some day these will become cherished family photos. There *is* a place for these kind of pictures.

I have to ask because you wanted feedback:

1. WHY are you STILL shooting with a -4/3 EC? I do not get that.

2. On #8, you are at +2.0 EC.

3. I like #7 too. The others seem a bit soft on focus and the color saturation seems a bit high to me.

I would work on getting the exposure correct with your f/stop, SS and ISO. I don't see the need for such wild swings in EC.

The first few in this set are a lot better then other stuff I have seen from you. The scene look more fun like child photography should.

But two things. Stop looking for approval from this website or its members. And for the love of god post some pictures of something else besides your kid. Just go out one day without the kid and take pictures of things that interest you.

They're cute but I think you still need to work on your focus. I like #7 best.

Most of them seem out of focus to me and there are color issues with everyone of them. You are still capturing them in pretty harsh light. They are snapshots, which is fine if that's what you intended them to be. As Derrel said, there IS a place for these pictures. They willl be cherished by you and your kids for years to come.

I agree number 7 is a winner for me, you've frozen the water well. I quite like number 6 but that could be because it been saved by being b&w. Close up shots are a little too close, cutting off bits of the head etc. The focus looks off on most of them but that could be my iPhone. Otherwise keep practising and enjoy getting shots of your kid growing up.

.....that is so strange because I didn't even touch my EC. I had it set to "0." ...????

I ordered the book "Understanding Exposure" from the library so I am looking foward to reading it. Thank you +)
