Becoming a Qualified Photographer or Press Photographer?

Hey All!

Well I currently @ 6th form but I dont think its right for me, I am looking into evening classes or a full time photography class, but i was wondering if anyone on TPF already was either qualified or was a press photographer and wondered if they would mind sharing their experiences with me as of how they started etc.
