Before Prom

Here are pictures I took for a friend before a prom. I struggled with this shoot (the full size pictures are noisy and the dress was very hard to deal with). My PP leaves something to be desired as well. I gave her the pictures on CD so she can get them printed and she liked them (so one good thing came out of it at least!) I had about 20 pictures to give her out of 75 or so that I took in all.

Here is something you might try, I think you will like the results.
Find a walkway/sidewalk or something with some short flowers near it.
Get a stepstool, and climb up to the top. Aiming down, have her walk by while holding the bottom of the dress up with her hands. Take a shot.

Your gonna love the result. This is kinda what you are going for. I saw this shot a while back from a friend, and I really liked the composition. The pic isnt perfect, but the composition is fantastic IMO.

The second is also my favorite. It's well composed and appears that the focus is spot on. The first is fine, but could do with some spot healing on her face.
