Beginner Buy! Canon 550D/600D or Nikon D5100?

Hey Guys, i'm traveling right now... On my trip to Malaysia and Singapore, thats why i couldn't reply back.
i want tips for Beach & Sunset photography, Please reply back. You guys have been awesome.

I am no pro but I live 5 minutes from the beach. A tripod and a wide angle lens would do you good. I use my kit lens and seems to do well at the widest.
