Beginner Question, Help Appreciated

Hi All,


I have a completely stupid question about a new camera that I just bought (Canon AE-1). I was working out how to put the lens into the mount and started pushing and 'jiggling' the lens whilst it was in the wrong mount position. Is this enough force to have damaged anything in my camera or was it just a clumsy mistake?

I'm aware that this might sound stupid but this is my first proper camera and I am treating it like a baby!

If the lens works correctly now when it's fitted correctly I'm sure it's fine

Thanks for your response, the lens is in correctly now... will I have avoided any damage despite my initial mistake?
