I have my camera set to continuous shooting but when ever I shoot more than one photo the memory card takes long to show the image do you think I need a faster memory card I'm using a Sandisk ultra 32gb 40mb memory card

That is odd behavior. What is the make and model of your camera?

Are you shooting RAW? JPEG images are smaller and don't fill your buffer up as quickly as raw images- but one pic? That's strange.

You might have turned ON a bunch of settings that slow down the drawing/processing, like Noise Reduction, color toning, anti-vignetting, etc. What camera model do you have?

If there are a lot of settings in action, it can slow the review of the JPEG file used for the on-cqmera preview.

I'm shooting in raw on a canon 80d it would be fine with one photo but if I snap multiple photo at the same time it would take long to show the images

Try a different card if you can't reformat your existing card.

Try to reset the settings (check this page of the manual).
Before doing that, keep a list of your settings, in case you have any at all (you say you don't, but maybe there are some menu settings, etc.) and dial them in again after the reset. At best one by one and check whether the problem reappears.
From what you write, the card shouldn't be the problem, but you could still borrow one from somebody and see if there is a change.
FYI: cameras usually take longer to write for longer exposures (after the image is taken of course).

I think that photo 1x1 above has the right answer reset all the camera settings. if this happened just a few days ago there is a good chance that this is a settings-related error. The fact that one single photo will show up quickly but a series will not makes me believe that the Canon 80d might be taking some time to write the string, out of the buffer snd then to the card. Again, certain settings like noise reduction or long exposure noise reduction, or vignette removal or other processing steps can greatly delay the playback of images, especially when images are shot in a sequence. I can pop off 26 or so photos with my 80d in raw before it slows down. Can you provide a link to the exact card you're using? Have you formatted the card in your camera (maybe even a low level format)?

I'm using a sandisk ultra 32 gb 40 mb it came with the video edited kit. I formatted it yesterday but haven't check to see if it still happening

Maybe your shutter speed is too low. Anything under 1/500 I don't think bursts.

I reformat the card and now it same fine now it a new camera i only had it for 3 weeks

I think that might be the problem because it was in aperture priority mode and
Indoor when that started to happen.
