These little beggars have been totally uncooperative As long as I've been trying to get a decent shot of one. (several years)
These are huge crops (he was on the other side of the river) but they are the best so far. so here they are.

I think you did pretty good for what you had to work with. They are very elusive. Try stopping down to F8 next time, might help sharpen it up a little more..

They are not the sparpest shots in the world but it's better than not having any shots at all
Besides, proper composition is more important and you nailed that aspect.

I'd say you need to toss them a minnow or too as they are spot on sweet shoots of these spiky crowned fishers! Thanks for sharing!
