Best way to transport tripod and camera while cycling?

Hi I cycle often and want to take my camera with me but I don't know where to put my gear. my camera is Sony Nex 5N and my tripod is Gitzo 1541T. So really two small and light pieces of equipment but I can't find a minimalist bag or carrying solution anywhere that is suitable. Most backpacks in stores are so big and bulky and I would never use them. I have a tripod strap I can sling over my body, but no clue where to put my camera.

Any recommendations (for carrying solution that attaches directly to the bike or that I can carry on my body)? for camera alone or both camera and tripod together

Just use a smaller camera bag that is big enough to fit the camera. And then put that bag to your favorite cycling backpack.

How about a drawstring backpack. Small, light, cheap and simple. That is my plan
