Best wide Angle Zoom for Nikon?

Been a while, but I just wanted to check with the community that this is the best wide angle zoom available for the Nikon: Nikon AF-S Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Lens.

The general consensus amongst people on the forum the last time I checked was that it is.

Also, there are a range of filter systems for this lens, is there a standout winner in the field? I see systems from Sensei Pro, Lee, FotodioX and Formatt Hitech

It seems to be generally considered the best. The latest tamron 15-30 vc seems to be getting as good reviews, but both are very wide on full frame cameras, if you have a crop camera there are other options which are arguably better
